The Directors Project at The Drama League of New York City

An accomplished financial services professional, Kenneth Wirth serves as Chief Executive Officer of First Financial Resources, Ltd., in Greenwich, Connecticut. In addition to his work at First Financial, Kenneth Wirth maintains a position on the Board of Directors for The Drama League, a New York-based nonprofit that works to foster the continuity of professional theater through a variety of programs and events.

Since its founding in 1916, The Drama League has operated several development programs for actors, writers, directors, and other theater professionals. One of the organization’s main educational programs is the Directors Project, which provides training to early and mid-career theater directors from across the country.

In addition to enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills, the Directors Project introduces promising directors to leading theater artists and provides them with the opportunity to present their work in a professional environment. Over the years, the project has assisted a number of directors who have gone on to receive very distinguished awards, including the Tony, Emmy, Peabody, and Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
